Has anybody tried some of those things like answering surveys from home to get paid? Have you had any luck?

Yes, I have. None of them pay anything just enter you in a drawing which I never win.

I have the degree I need and now I have to marriage it with the "bleeding edge" of technology. I will let you know in six months if I am successful.

be wary , most if not all are scams to separate you from your money. make money for the people selling you the info o getting your financial information so they can open accounts in your name and steal your id.
except jimnms of course.. http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif hopefully that's approved for reimbursement by somebody!

be wary a lot of previously high paying jobs in the USA have been farmed out via the internet overseas. they do it now with radiologist and engineers, they can pay them 25% of the going rate here. so caution is in order with this type of stuff, why would they pay you $100 a day to work at home via the internet when they could get the same work for $10 a day where the cost of living and average wage is much cheaper. ebay and dell out sourced their support overseas, to save money

I think your best t bet would be to try and find work with a big corporation, that you could do at home or get a skill that enable you to start your own home based business.

quad pro be wary, i would say if you found something that you though was legitamite , post it here , lots of people here can research it and give you their input on the company... .
be very wary, so many scams out there to seperate you from your money or financial info..amazing that i see people still falling for the cashier check scam, getting bilked out of thousands of dollars, also be careful on going to some of the adult sites, unless you have your spyware gurads set up , a lot of sites will install spyware on your computer, some will transmit any information it can find concerning your financial info to their site..some will install a auto dialer which will redial a 900 number or overseas number and you get a bill for 100 of dollars from your local pohone company. be careful

scam, without reading the fine print.the so called payment check $250 is made out to cash... if you were in a focus group a corporation, is going to make out the check not to cash. especially working from home, that would be like sending cash through the mail, no accountability . that's the first tip off.
I have done survey groups when I was on strike years ago , and all , they do pay and you can supplement your income with them, all the ones I did , you had to go to in person. I have friends that does the restaurant one, and you have to go to the restaurants, he does it as part of his regular work day, on his lunch hour since he drives around with his work.. but you do not have to pay to get this information, you can bypass this company and find focus groups, they might even be in the yellow pages, you could find your local ones and see if they know of any at home stuff you can do. also the 100% guarantee is bogus , legitimate web advertisers has the web log of a 3rd party BBB type organization like bizwiz, pay pal, or something that will refund your money for real.market research (http://www.focusgroups.com/focmkt.htm)
there is a web sire for that company that the check allegedly came from.. plaza (http://www.plazaresearch.com/index.html) i would contact them dirctly to see if they offer any at home stuff and , elimate the middle man, that is tryin to get your money.

You might want to take a look at the listings on the Telecommuting Jobs (http://www.tjobs.com/) website.

Good luck.

I am a member of several paid survey panels. I have been paid by several times. I do not take sweepstakes surveys. I complete only those paid surveys that pay cash. You can find some legit free surveys at http://www.earnextrarupees.com.

Never pay to join a survey panels.

Letsmein, are you a spammer or do you have a legitimate reason to be on these forums? Your incomplete profile and the two posts you have made to date makes you suspect.

Check out elance.com. It's a website where you bid on all kinds of projects...from writing web content, data entry, to computer programming. Whatever your skills, you can probably find some kind of appropriate contract work there. There are also some call center oriented jobs that you can perform at home, although I don't know exactly where to look for those.

Tory Johnson's Work-From-Home Tips (http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/TakeControlOfYourLife/story?id=2621388&page=1)

Home-Based Jobs for Americans with Disabilities

National Telecommuting Institute, Inc. (http://www.nticentral.org/) connects Americans with disabilities to employers willing to hire employees and contractors for home-based assignments. The database is small, but it's proven to be a smart resource for many workers. They may also be able to refer you to other resources as well.

I dont know about others but I have been paid by several survey panels. A lot of people say paid surveys are scam, do not join and loose money. I am not spamming the forum. It is my personal opinion about paid surveys. Just think about it Global Test Market has more than 10 million members worldwide, Myview has more than 5 million members worldwide and so on. Are these millions of people wrong? I dont think so.

There are a bunch of other ways where you can work from home aside from doing online paid surveys. The internet is pretty big and there are a lof of ways to go about extra money making , you can try blogging, doing online data entry jobs and others.

Yes, there are quite a lot of books and websites which teach you how to make money by doing survey.

and looks who's doing it?!?

I do wonder how much one gets for "trolling" sites to post? There must be a computer tech word for it.
