I am a C6/7 Quad going into my second year's University, I'm studying English and French which means that on my third year I'll be living in France. On your year abroad you can either study at a French university or become a teaching assistant or you can get another job but that means you have to find it yourself. The thing is, I've just moved into a new house had it renovated and it's perfect for me, and am reluctant to settle for anything less than this now. Last year i was in halls they were okay, by that I mean liveable but after living in my new house I don't want to go back to anything like that. So, this is my problem or problems should I say; firstly, being Quad i'm worried about the access of French schools if I were to become a teaching assistant and if I were to choose another job am worried that the limitation of my disability and the fact remind English and therefore speak English (plus my French is terrible) will make it hard to me to find a suitable job. The second major problem is that I don't know what the accessibility of France is like, I know that finding holiday accommodation this summer in France was next to impossible.

So, if anyone has any experience of any kind regarding this please, please can you email me! Or if anyone knows anyone in France perhaps in a wheelchair, maybe I could become their apprentice of the year! God knows! My other friends at university are worrying about the fact that they're going to be living in France for year and speaking French, so you can imagine my worry.

I'm sure someone can help me on this web site whether theygive me their experience or just give me an e-mail address of someone who might be able to help. Anything is appreciated.

Thanks

Nathalie
