View Full Version : arm numbness improved
Some of you may recall that I posted on cando about a problem with numbness in my arms. I seem to have solved that problem by adding Vitamin B complex to my meds. Perhaps I had a B12 deficiency, which wouldn't be surprising considering my "diet."
It's nice to post good news for a change.

Alan - thanks for sharing that good information; I am glad for you! In addition to B12, vitamins B1 and B6 can contribute to neuropathies. It is good that you are taking a B-complex vitamin. You have mentioned that your diet may have been a contributor. Some good sources of the B complex include whole grain and enriched breads and cereals, legumes, nuts, meat, poultry, fish, bananas, potatoes, milk, eggs and cheese. Several of these would be easy to little preparation and rather enjoyable to eat. CRF
Unfortunately, due to the abdominal pain, nothing is enjoyable to eat. :-( That's why my diet is so bad - I feel full and queasy all the time, so I am able to eat very little. Obviously, it's enough to keep me alive, but I wouldn't recommend my diet to anyone else.

Me too. I wen to Shands in Atlanta and they said its more likely related to my constipation rather than spinal cord injury direct? It comes and goes when my pain gets worse, I tend to get the numbness more???
