Going to Fanfare, should be loads of fun, I am a real Country Western Fan. Meeting a couple of buddies there.
Wish I had taken a plane at this point though, had a huge tire get kicked up by a truck in front of me today and did some major front end damage to my Cadillac, still drives ok, but looks like hell, bent hood, smashed grill, always something, lol.
Can't wait to get to Nashville though, be there tomorrow, should be a great show, the wheelchair access is pretty good at Aldelphia Stadium, went there last year.
Good to get away and be on the open road.

I don't know what in the heck is going on, I never seen so many dead truck tires in the highway as today, taking highway 81, lots of trucks on the road. They must be getting cheap and trying to make their old tires last as long as possible these days. Oh well, nearly hit a deer last night in New York State, lots of deer out there too. Man, got to be real careful driving these days, so many obsticals in the road, never seen anything like it.

I also couldn't believe how many truck tires were in the road on our trip to/from NJ. That's amazing. There must be some reason for it like you suggested.

It was great, probabley about the best lineup of the week. Martina Mcbride played, as did Diamond Rio and Allen Jackson. It was great also to see Kellie Coffee, she is about the most up and coming Country Western star out there. Martina Mcbride though was totally Awesum, definately my Favorite. Oh ya, Sara Evens performed also, she is great too. Just a totally incredable show, good lineup over the weekend, the show ends Sunday night.
Got to the Hotel I was suppose to stay at, it looked a little too wild for me, definately need to get some sleep, so I told them the room would not work for the wheelchair and found a Hampton Inn that is even Closer and more accessable to the Stadium, very lucky to get a room here on such short notice, there was a cancelation. My friends are Staying at the Renassance, $200.00 per night, no thanks, great view of the city though, I'll take my view of Taco Bell for $100.00 per night, lol.

My husband and I went to our first fanfare in 2000. Was great fun. We met SO many great country stars and had the time of our lives. I know the venue changed last year and I heard it was not that great but we look forward to going again sometime soon. Have a great time and enjoy!

Curtis, what flew into to your Caddie was most likely a top cap. Truck tires are quite sturdy and when their tread wears away they can be recapped. If the recapping process is not exact, there is a great possibility the top cap will be flung off the tire body. Can do great damage. You're lucky it did't come through your windshield.
