(aka plumbers butt). Any solutions out there for finding or creating pants that don't ride down when sitting down? I find that the majority of nice pants in stores (for us gals anyhow) are hip huggers that create major trouser cleavage when sitting (which I seem to spend a LOT of time doing http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif ). I refuse to wear sweats and older people pants all the time but I am sure having a problem making my pants and shirt meet.
Please....any ideas or solutions? Other than suspenders which are my dads answer (puhleeeeeeze) http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/redface.gif

Check out this site:

They have plenty of great, high waisted jeans that won't ride down.

When you find a solution to the plumber problem, please let me know. In my mind, this ranks close to finding a cure!
Plumber butt is the bane of my existence! I've just trained my friends/family well enough that when I say 'plumber' they yank up my pants for me. I hate this though. Sometimes it's not appropriate, or I'm with people that I don't want caressing my butt! LOL
When I'm just sitting it's OK, but when I transfer in/out of vehicles is when it's a bit problem. ARG!!!!
Thanks for posting this. I can't wait to read solutions!

I feel yo pain, even tho I'm a fella yo!! I hate when peeps be behine me when I transfer!! If I pull em up, mr. happy gets crushed. So, I wear a T shirt (wifebeater made by me) under my shirts and TUCK IT IN!!! With the sleeves cut out, the T doesn't get bunched up. Works eRRy time fa me. I like the term trouser cleavage!!! I heard da term "trouser sneeze" and "trouser chili", but you dropped some new verbage on me.

We just ordered and received some pants from
www.rolli-moden.com (http://www.rolli-moden.com)

They're great! They are made with a 'high rise' in the back, fit really well, and don't look too bad either. Jeans, dress pants, suit jackets for guys and women.

So much so I went as far as designing the pants I wear now. Admittedly, they are not for the fashion conscious individual but I can pull the waistband up high enough so I don't have to worry about it. They are also designed so I can expose my groin for cathing. I do not have to worry about a messy or wet crotch after cathing either. I suffer from AD so my pants are made of soft material but I am sure they can be made in jeans-style clothing or even business-conscious suits. I have a taylor make them for me.

ROFL...Great post title, Emi. I'll have to remember that one.

Ditto to CLC. I don't know exactly what equals that in guys, but I'm guessing they wouldn't like it much.

Emi, I think I saw a thing on Ripley's on T.V. that showed a new style of pants that are designed to show part of the "crack". Just think, maybe you have started a fashion craze. I know they said the pants cost big bucks. http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Possible solution. I am assuming you have a hard seat back with a gap between the shell and your cushion so your butt shows? Just asking cause a sling back goes all the way down.

I just got (yesterday) a new seat back made by invacare called the infinity low back. They also have them in taller models. I think it is much better than the Jay line of backs. And now for the best part, they come with a "privacy flap" that comes down over the back of the seat back and continues on down to your seat cushion. It is just nylon or whatever and it covers your back. I think it will work. You can probably design something similar for whatever seat back system you use. Or just go blow $300 or so on a new seat back.

I only wear super low-rise jeans, so, I bought a lot of *extremely* low undies from Express & Victoria's Secret. They barely cover my hipbones, but they don't totally hang out when I lean foward.

OH come on Emi whats wrong with suspenders? Nothin like a 6 inch wide pair of bright red Husqvarna straps on a women,or maybe a pair of bright orange Stihl that logger look can be awfully attractive on a woman.

alright canada got lucky in hockey do u now have an ax to grind with the stateside folk?

husqvarna is a little known rat lives in an isolated obscure crack in canada and stihl is something you make moonshine with. now you use these suspendors to cover the crack so your moon dont shine right?
