What did you drive before your SCI? Do you still drive it or did you get a new vehicle?

I drove a 1994 Dodge RAM 1/2 ton with the 5.2L V8. It was a fun truck, and I miss it. I bought it used in 1996 and it never let me down. I did all the maintenance myself.

I just sold it a few months ago, it was just rotting in the driveway.

Have had a 1977 Corvette for 11 years. Just had the engine rebuilt last year then the accident happened. The fellow that rebuilt the engine put hand controls in it and we got a trailer for the wheelchair or Amigo.

Regular vehicle was a Astro Van. Sold that and bought a Monte Carlo with hand controls.

How did you guys get the pictures in?

I had a '98 GMC Jimmy. Great truck, it was a shame to trade it in but transfers were kind of sketchy at that time, and as a wheelchair mobile it really wouldnt work too well anyway. I dont have any good photos of it, but here is one.

haha... I was only 18 at the time, so nothing too fancy. I had an '89 VW Fox... the whole thing cost me about as much as an EZ-Lock costs new. I loved it though... 4-speed manual tranny, nothing power but the brakes, and it got GREAT gas mileage. I still see it around town (recognizable bumper stickers)... some Mexicans have it now... at least it still runs. http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Obviously a long, long time ago... in a galaxy far away.

There is no driving a stick shift these days, but I do enjoy the freedom of my van.
