I would recommend calling one of the major SCI rehabilitation centers in MI for a referral. There is a Model SCI Center in Ann Arbor that I would try first:
University of Michigan Model Spinal Cord Injury Care System
Denise G. Tate, PhD, ABPP and David R. Gater, MD, PhD
University of Michigan
Dept. of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
300 North Ingalls, Room NI2A09
Ann Arbor, MI 48109-0491
Contact: Claire Z. Kalpakjian, PhD
voice: (734) 615-5922
fax: (734) 936-7048
e-mail: clairez@umich.edu

I see Dr. Anthony Chiodo from U of M in Ann Arbor. I was inpatient rehab there and I love the place and my doctor!!
FYI, there is also the PM&R and The Spine Clinic. It's associated with U of M and thats where I see Dr. Chiodo now. Their number is (734)936-7175
If the doctor you are trying doesn't work out for you, give The Spine Clinic a try!!
Good luck with everything!!
