During my last visit to my acupuncturist he handed me an article from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. The article was about Project Walk and how much success they have had since opening in 1999. It says along with scalp acupuncture they use your spasticity to help help regain control. They discourage the use of anti spasmotics and pain killers because they just put your nervous system to sleep. I threw my drugs away months ago because that was how I felt about them! Is anybody fimiliar with "project walk" and how successful they are?

I just saw your request for info on Project Walk. My son just started there 3 weeks ago and so far we are very impressed with what they are doing. It is a very up-beat & positive place for SCI clients. Our son sees others just like him - some are worse off and others came in with his injury and are now walking (c6-7 inc.). Right now, we are hopeful. Also, they have a scalp acupuncturist that is treating my son. You are right about the drugs. Many of their clients are off the spasm drugs. We are cutting back and look forward to the day when he is off everything. Hope this helps - even though it's a little late.
