"Affiliations are maintained with the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, The Hospital for Special Surgery"
"a Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) center; and a Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)"
any feedback on the bronx va? its close enough to me, i think i need someplace that has a more big picture approach. to really oversea everthing, i have pain management doctor, a psyitrist, but now i am deveoping problems in my affected limb, my psyitrist dosent handle that, as he is only back and neck.
i have to ask for blood test from pain management doc to make sure meds arent affecting my kidneys/liver or its not thought about.
seems i am only one that is trying to look at the big picture..meds effect on the body etc.
having foot problems orthopedic cant fix or refer me to ?
i have insurance and this is comp case, but i am also a veteran, va say they can take me, or should i go to mt sinai directly,

The Bronx VA has one of the 22 VA SCI Centers and has an excellent reputation in both care and research. If you are not service connected for your SCI you will need to apply for eligiblity, but with a serious SCI you should be rated Category 4 and eligible for care (although you may have a co-payment). Join PVA (free: www.pva.org (http://www.pva.org) ) if you are not already a member, and get your eligibility established using a PVA National Service Officer to help you with the paperwork.
