Does anyone know a good doctor, esp. a PM&R doc, in Morgantown, WV? My daughter will be starting WVU in May...and I just wondered if anyone had any doctors they liked?

Thanks!

I am moving this post to the Doctors and Clinics Forum, but will leave a copy here to direct anyone there who may have input.

My recommendation would be for her to find a good all around 'family doc', who is open to learning about SCI health issues, and also a urologist willing to do the same. If an issue came up relating to physiatry, the family doc could certainly then do a phone consult with your daughter's physiatrist in Michigan.

Tell your daughter I LOVE West Virginia!!!

That's a great idea, really. She is so excited she can barely contain herself. She's waiting for her new wheelchair, a TiLite with those cool E-Motion wheels...and her two-week rehab out at Craig Hospital...and then she's on her way! Her accident was in March of 99..and there were times when I thought sending her off to college was an impossible dream.

Thanks for the advice...

And talking to lots of people. We finally settled on a local family Doctor that wanted to be a part of Justins care.We went thru 3 doctors. This one will give us antibiotics on my word that Justin is developing cold symptoms and although i have to go to the office to pick it up, she is great about writing him pain medications. But ultimatly I was looking for doctors who specialized in SCI and found none. My nerosurgeon told me the best place to bring Justin on a yearly or by yearly basis is to his rehab hospital or at least the closest to home because they are the ones who know all the issues my son faces. They will work with you andyour local doctor on any problems your daughter may face.
