Hello;

Anyone know about peripheral nerve rerouting? Is there any place in the western hempishere(U.S./Canada/U.K./etc) working on this? Thanks!

Try a search on Dr. Alfred Bohbot. I think he's working/conducting in Italy.

There are a few threads talking about his work.

Good luck.

Chris,

Albert Bohbot does infrared laser acupuncture. He does not do peripheral nerve re-routing.

Peripheral nerve rerouting is commonly practiced by plastic surgeons to correct problems such as facial nerve palsy (Bell's palsy), brachial nerve plexus avulsion. Dr. Julia Terzis, for example, at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, has been transplanting spinal roots and peripheral nerves into the spinal cord, to treat brachial nerve plexus avulsion. Dr. Carlstedt at the Royal Orthopedic Hospital in Stanmore London has done many cases of reimplantation of peripheral nerves into the spinal cord.

Giorgio Brunelli has been doing nerve to nerve anastomosis (from arm to leg) in people in spinal cord injury. He has also been doing nerve to spinal cord above the injury site anastomoses.

Wise.
