Can anyone tell me any news about this treatment. I have talked with three men who went to China and were doing out-patient rehab at the Rehab Institute of Michigan. They were all quads, all20 years or more post injury. All 3 could move their arms and were lifting or otherwise working muscles they couldn't previously move. All said they were very happy with the experience and their "investment". However, every doctor I talk to says that if I go and something bad happens to me later on then no U.S. doctor will touch me. I find this hard to believe, but would like to know the thoughts of others. Thanks.
Hi Dick, Welcome to CC,
Any idea what they mean by some thing going wrong
I can see where it might affect you getting into a new trial.
I've been to China and seen improvment, my doctor was very supportive.

Life is full of risks. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Many SCI patients have left the US seeking some improvement. Many, but not all, have gotten their money's worth and only a few have had complications, most of which can be fixed by competent physcians!
