Mineral and vitamin tablets, and Herbs - Any Contradictions?

My mum always asks me not to consume herbs after consuming mineral and vitamin tablets. Need interval of 2 hrs. Is this true? Any contradiction? I thought contradiction occurs only between herbs and non-herbal medicine!!? Are mineral and vitamin tablets medicine?

If you take a lot of vitamins and herbals in addition to your prescribed medications, you may want to find references on if whether they interact with each other. That information will determine timing on when to take the medication.

Think that taking herbs and vitamins/minerals are OK together. Ever drank tea while taking vitamins/minerals? Tea is an herb. And tea is routinely served in hospitals along with prescription medications. Go figure...
