I am currently looking for a converted Grand Caravan. I have found two companies on the Web that have very good prices. Has anyone had any experience with these companies?

Rollix Vans (http://www.rollxvans.com/index.htm)
AMS Vans (http://www.amsvans.com/?page=home)

I am a quadriplegic and my wife does the driving. I would like to drive my chair into the passenger seat position. We are currently using a modified Windstar, and I have to sit in the back of the van.

Any suggestions? I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

Hi Brian,
I live about 5 miles from Rollex here in the Twin Cities metro area. I have had 2 different vans in the past 4 years (I'm c4/c5). It's interesting to visit the factory and see the conversion being done.

My new van is a 2004 Grand Caravan with a one touch system which opens the door, kneels the van down, and brings the ramp out. I roll my chair into the front passenger position and use the EZ lock down system. It works really great. I can do this independently. My old van had an in floor ramp which I would not recommend; it is too slippery.

Good luck.

Sue

We have a 2001 Rollx Grand Caravan, and we're quite satisfied. I don't drive, so I can't tell you about that aspect.

A friend of mine passed away recently & I'm trying to help her family sell some of her equipment.

They have a '94 Grand Caravan with the IMS lowered floor, power fold-out ramp conversion for sale for $7k. It has 144k miles total, 4k on a new engine. It is located in Southern California.

Reply if interested.

Thanks

PS they also have a Invacare TDX5 & a Hoyer lift available.

Thanks for the comments!

I appreciate the offer on the used van, but we drive a lot of miles and I want to start with a low mileage vehicle.

I have a Dodge Grand Caravan with an IMS Rampvan conversion. It's the most reliable conversion I've had. I highly recommend them.
