Disability Rights Advocates (DRA, http://www.dralegal.org ), a nonprofit
law center in Oakland, California, is investigating complaints about
Medicare's wheelchair and scooter coverage policies.
Please contact them if you were unable to get a power wheelchair or scooter
because you:
-needed it for use outside the home,
-were able to walk short distances, or
-had not proven sufficient upper extremity weakness.
Also contact them if you, for any of the reasons listed above, had to pay
out-of-pocket for the wheelchair or scooter you needed.
