Garaventa Super Trac ??

Anyone have experience using a Garaventa Super Trac??
We are considering this for lower level access in our home. It would be for my son who requires a care provider at all times and is a difficult transfer in/out of his wheelchair. It is more affordable than an "installed" wheelchair platform stairlift and although not really "portable" it could easily be hauled to a different home if we ever moved. It would be used in a home with a walk-out lower level so not necessary for a speedy emergency evacuation.

hmm. I haven't used it so I checked out the video on youtube. If I'm being honest, the amount of work to operate it would probably deter me from going to the basement more than absolutely necessary. I have a regular platform lift and, even with it being easy operating & not so slow, I sometimes avoid the basement due to the time it takes.

Having said that, if money is the determining factor, you've gotta go with what you can afford. But there are options - I got my platform stair lift used, from a local elevating company. It's been in two different houses.
