Hey everybody, this is my first summer at home in a wheelchair. I am a T8 complete and was just curious if anyone cuts there grass on their own, and if so how do you do it? I use to love cutting the lawn believe it or not but now Im kind of lost on where and how to start. I cant get a riding lawnmower in my back yard so thats out of the question. Thanks

I use a normal push mower with a self propel option. I point it the right way, hang on, and hit the gas, one hand on the mower and another pushing the outside wheel to track straight and give it the little oopmf it needs to get going. I also use my Freewheel attachment. Couldn't happen without the forward stability that thing creates.

I asked the same quetion last week to my P.T. except i was asking about a riding mover. Neighbors have been doing it since my accident, just was hoping i could i could return the favor. Her worry had something to do with my weak hips, i was worried more about the vibration. She didnt really want to commit either way, but she did eventually say i could try if it was a small yard. I have cauda equina. I think i'll be fine. Jody's set up looks awesome. Good luck K-dog.
