I work with the adaptive sports club at our local university. We are trying to donate a training roller to the student recreation center - for use by ALL students and faculty. They are balking at providing the space, citing that they have already provided alter-able accommodation in the form of a wheelchair accessible multi/universal gym/weight station and a hand cranked ergometer.
We are trying to gather info about what equipment is provided to wheelchair users at other schools, K through graduate, and community recreation centers.
Any input or experiences regarding exercise gear, especially training rollers and ergometers in a community based facility (excluding pay for service health clubs) would be most appreciated. Thanks!
