Hello, my name is Bill and I am new to this site. I was hurt in 1985, hit a tree while snow sledding in MI, T7 Para. I recently was looking for a new wheelchair (rigid) and didn't find any good places to find information. So, I decided to build a survey to gather and then share my finding with others that are looking. I have found that most of the information out there is very high level. Not much about the issues people are having or what features they would like to have on their chairs.
The survey only takes about 5 minutes or so. I would appreciate it if I could get some input from others. Just click on the link below.

Thanks in advance for your support.

Sorry Steven.
I am trying to gather as much information as I can as quickly as I can, then share my findings with anyone that wants the information.
I appreciate the forums and look forward to learning some new things.
Thanks Again!!!

Questions 12 and 13 don't have the correct responses. You need a 'Fit' on 12 and a 'Never' on 13, IMHO.
Are you market researching or for school, etc?
The questions about adjustable wheels and camber seem product oriented.

Thanks for your feedback. I really appreciate it. As you can tell by the questions and your comments I am not in market research. I wanted to find out what others are doing with their wheelchairs and what features they are using. I have been in a chair for 25 years and have a pretty active life. The funny thing is I have never adjusted the back angle on any of my chairs. I have owned Tilite, Action, Quickie and a couple others that are no longer in business. I was just wondering am I the only one that never adjusts the back angle, LOL. Some of the adjustments seem to be overkill when it comes to the back angle adjustment. Regarding the question about the camber, similar situation except I used to use my daily chair when playing basketball. So I would swap out the camber settings when going to play. I was wondering about that too. Lastly, the width of the wheels, I have traveled out of the country a bit and found it a pain getting through narrow doors. So, I would always carry a wrench to adjust my chairs. Heck, even in the US there are plenty of places I haven't been able to get through the doors without adjusting the width of my rims. So, to be more to the point, interested to see what others are doing as well as product research.
For the record, I have added Never to #13. Define your idea of fit? Wouldn't that be an issue with proper measuring when ordering? Again, I appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Bill

Thanks to everyone that has taken my survey. I am getting some good information. As soon as the survey is complete, I will share the information with everyone that wants it.
If you haven't taken the survey, please help me out and take it. It only takes about 3-4 mins.
If you just want the information, you can go to the survey and add your email information. I will forward you the results when completed. Your email address will only be used for the results, nothing else.

Just a quick update on the survey. My goal is to get 500 people to take the survey. Once completed, I will send out the results to those who have requested the information. I am approaching 75 in the first 4 days. I hope to hit the 500 mark by the end of June.
I appreciate everyone's help with the research.

To everyone that requested the survey information, I will start to send it out next week. Thanks for taking the time to help me with my research.
If you see this email and haven't taken the survey, please do. The more people that take it the better the information I am able to gather.

Sorry, someone that recently went to take the survey asked me to make it more clear that my survey is gathering information on manual wheelchairs.
I'm sorry if there was any confusion.
