Click the little "URL" button, type the URL and the description in the title like this:

Then you get a link like this:

Click here to go to google (http://www.google.com)

Or you can manually type it in using [URL] tags.

I have Word, but never installed it, and I don't use Outlook (can't stand it). I know Word can write HTML, although it's very sloppy, and I have seen Word docs with HTML links in them. I would suggest highlighting the words you want to be a link, and look through the options in the menu for something to insert a hyperlink.

In Word if you hit ctrl-k it will bring up the form. Also up in toolbar: Insert->Hyperlink

I don't use Outlook, so this may affect it.
