Half-Life and Half-Life2 are both great, but I still say the first Deus Ex game had the best gameplay and story telling ever. It's the only game where I actually I felt I was in a real living world. Your actions had consequinces later on. While it was still somewhat linear in that you always ended up in the same place, there were thousands of ways to actually get there.

Another great game that nobody seems to know about is Hidden & Dangerous II. I wasn't too impressed by the first one because it was a 3rd person game, but the second is awesome.

Half Life took Doom and turned it into a movie, then team Fortress, then Counterstrike. The fun never stopped! Opposing Force was too short. Half Life 2 is only halfway finished at home, just got my little alien minions and entered the prison complex. Jim, I never really got into Deus Ex... if you like open ended gameplay, try Knights of the Old Republic. I am George Lucas' bitch, I know.

agreed, opposing force was too short. blue shift is even shorter. however i thought it was cool how you got to see gordon and see the guy on the radio from half life. btw, did you ever try to jump into the vortex after gordon?
gordon lands on a rock on xin, adrian lands in space next to the rock and falls to his death.

For awhile I was addicted to Medal of Honor but now it's Max Payne, I've almost got it beat. I guess I could do it a lot easier if I used the cheat codes but I don't believe in that, it's cheating.
