There is this one website that I have been trying to go to because I need to download a program from it. When I try to access the site from my laptop computer at home, nothing will appear and at the bottom it says it is "Done". When I access the site at work, it comes up with no problem. My laptop is even newer than my work computer so what could the problem be. I thought it was the site itself but when I checked it out at work and it worked, I think it is a setting with my computer. Can someone help me? Thanks

Temporarily disable any personal firewall software you may have installed on your new computer.
Let us know if this solves your problem.

It could be your security level settings. Go to your puter at work and look at the heading "tools" then "options". Make sure your settings are the same.

Just to be clear, you have taken your laptop to work and you have been able to access the web site? Also, you are not having any other problems accessing other web sites with your laptop at home? Can you provide us with the link to the web site that you are trying to access?

No, I have not taken my laptop to work. When I access the website on my work computer, the site comes up. Any other websites I access with my laptop all come up just fine.
I copied down the settings from my work computer and am going to compare to my laptop and see if that works.

I have run across sites that are blocked like that because of pop-up blockers. There may be some sort of pop-up component on that page. Try holding down the control (ctrl) key when you click on the page link and hold it down while it loads. This works for me - see if it will work for you.
