Very depressing movie .
I think the movie jinxed my dvd player immediately because the machine went bonkers and it was freaky at the movies end & the Apocylypse ruined my DVD player lmao :amen:
so I just bought another DVD player

Last night I watched No Country for Old Men

I went to see "Wall Street" just because I wanted to see Michael Douglas in what may be his last film...and I am glad I did. His Gordon Gekko was a little more sympathetic than in the first film, but still managed to screw over even those closest to him. Still a masterful performance.

I also saw, with the Cinema Society, a sneak preview of "Welcome", which is a French film about an Iraqi illegal refugee in France who is trying to get across the English Channel from Calais to his girlfriend in England. Very well acted, wonderful cinematography, and an engaging story. French with English subtitles, so probably will only get around to the art theaters, but keep your eyes open for it.
