If a group of bat-wielding psychos killed six people over a DVD player or a blender, we'd just refer to it as a senseless mass murder. But if it's over a video game system ... boy howdy! Let's call it the XBOX MASSACRE!

You can bet Microsoft isn't thrilled with that particular headline, stemming from a stomach-turning tragedy in Florida this week where six people were beaten to death over what appears to be one woman's refusal to turn over an Xbox and some clothes to a creep she evicted from her home.

Veneering this horror with a shiny layer of stupidity was a radio DJ I heard on the air the next morning, gravely informing the public that six teens (they actually raged in age from 18 to 34) had been killed over an Xbox game, and perhaps this should send a message to parents about the kinds of violent video games their kids are playing.

Way to twist the facts and trivialize a tragedy, boob.

I recall one of the veteran police officers saying that this was the most horrific crime scene that he had ever seen, and he went on to say that he never wants to see anything like this again.

Now they will probably try to rat out each other, or cut a deal to avoid the death penalty.
