help with including a picture in msg.

Can anyone give me detailed instructions for including a picture in a message. Even need to know how to make it smaller.

PS I think I need to make it smaller, its now 25 kb.......I sent it to myself and my mail program made it that size.

I am do it but probably wrong.
1.click the right button that says "attach"
2.find you picture
3.write whatever you want
4.click ok
5.go to image URL(mine was fredflinstone.ico
6.click ok
