Ok, not going off on a rant concerning politics ... but that woyld be a good title.
I check the forum in the mornings and again around 6PM Eastern time. I sometimes check in a few more times a day depending on my circumstances. I usually go for the new posts since my last visit. It takes a little while to load, but after I page down and try to load the second page I get a server error. Sometimes I can go back and read the active topics and then reload the new posts and I go directly to the second page without clicking on a topic on the first page. Today this has not worked. I then went to Internet Explorer and it worked a bit better but obviously since its not my browser of choice I get more pages since my last visit.
Have we reached the limit of the server or do I need to start tweaking my browsers. Even IE is sluggish. I had a similar problem on Mozilla 1.6 and 1.7 is no better. I use DSL and am fairly confident about my connection. An AMD 1.1 may be old by today's standards, but it should do the job.
So, is my case isolated? Are others having problems? I can see where perhaps the forums are over taxed (victim of its own success), but since nobody else is complaining I'm guessing its something else.
Cookies? Javascript? Any suggestions at all? I hate to start tweaking, it usually leads to something bad. But CC is worth the fight.
