Font size

Why when I copy & paste something from this site to mail or notepad the font size is so huge "18" instead of "10" How can I fix this? This is the only site that does this. http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/confused.gif

I've never heard of anything like that happining in notepad. I don't think its possible. However, most mail programs allow you to change font charasteristics including font size, bold, italics, underline or style of font. Once you have pasted the text into the email highlight it if it isn't still highlighted. Then search the toolbar bar above the message for controls (similar to those posting this message). If you have your mail program configured to send in plain text the controls may be hidden. In the case of using a Mozilla or Netscape mail program you can set this in EDIT > PREFERENCES.

If you are using Microsoft Outlook or AOL I can't say (I don't use them), but even Yahoo mail has these features. Highlight first, then change the text.

Are you pasting into Notepad or Wordpad?

If the program you're pasting into has a "Paste Special" item on its Edit menu, choose that option and select "unformatted" or plain text from the dialog box that pops up.
