Anybody know of a good freeware telnet emulator?

I've looked on download.com, can't find one that suits my needs.

Thanks

A telnet emulator? I'm curious. What would you use one of them for?

I suggest "Putty" or "IVT VT220". They are both free and can be found at Tucows (http://www.tucows.com/term95_rating.html). Plus you can look at ratings of other similar products.

Thanks Nick...I just downloaded putty from tucow. It is great, it runs as an executable with nothing to install. Awesome.

Steven, I use it for remote telnet/ssh logins using an xterm to unix/linux based machines from win32 platforms. I have a VPN into my work, but it's dedicated and secure due to the work I do.

I just wanted/needed another telnet emulator, I haven't had much luck in the past. This putty looks like it's good, though.

Thanks guys

Sorry... I was confused by the word emulator, thinking you only wanted a simulated telnet session. I use Putty, too.
