I can get on carecure chat but it will not let me chat with other people. I have a voice-activated computer but it will not allow me to put in the words that I want. Isn't this a handicap site? I can do anything else but it will not allow me to type in my words. Any answers?

shameless, PN says that he can use Dragon on the chat when the browser is Mozilla. Wise.

shameless, just to cover all bases, is the text field (i.e. where you would type) selected before you try the voice commands?

I'm a little confused, how would you make the selection where you type? Originally posted by scott (jmu):

I also had the same problems I believe that you are going through. I stopped using IE 6 and I now use Mozilla and I am able to chat with others. Let me know if this helps.

I use Mozilla Firebird (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firebird/) in the chat rooms with Dragon NaturallySpeaking and it works fine. It's also a smaller download than Mozilla, incorporating only the essentials for web browsing. I use it as my primary browser and allow Internet Explorer to collect dust http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif

Lewis, Firebird is great! So far, it works very well with this site, including the chatroom. For a browser that has not even reached version 1.0 yet, it is remarkably stable and good. I am impressed. It is faster than Safari, Mozilla, Camino, and of course much faster than IE or Netscape. Wise.

I have been using it for the last six months or so and have not experienced any major problems. Minor problems are usually fixed by restarting the computer, but usually require me to do something dumb to cause them in the first place http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif

Great product and easy download for everyone.
