Other than taking a digital camera and taking aim on your tv screen(which would probably produce a poor image)you can purchase a TV card. Then you can play the video on your computer. You can save the video in microsoft movie maker or use the still capture feature to get a single frame. I would think the TV Card would come with software also. These cards are really cheap now. This site has them:surpluscomputer (http://www.softwareandstuff.com/crd_Aitechtvpci.html) another place to search is pricewatch.com (http://www.pricewatch.com/) Also might be nice to have cause it has a tv tuner built in-you could watch tv and be on CC at the same time and location.

Can anyone explain a TV card for the computer. I have a laptop (notebook) computer so is there Tv cards for this too. How will this allow a recorded VHS tape to get transferred to my computer somehow . I am assuming there may be some wires to connect between the two or ?!
Thanks for the idea bigbob, i am going to keep researching this on the internet some. Also have thought about a DVD recorder but the prices are steep. I do have a CD Burner and XP on my laptop.
