Holes for Everyone!
Today is the most well-rounded Security Alert you're ever going to get. First, one researcher says he has found a major hole in most versions of Mac OS X that could give an attacker total control over your machine. No word on a patch being released from Apple. Second, there are reportedly five new holes in Microsoft's Internet Explorer. No patch has been issued yet. Finally, there's a hole in Linux kernel 2.4, according to Debian. Linux creator Linus Torvalds says anyone running a version of Linux prior to kernel version 2.4 should seek available patches for their system from its distributor.
