Hi All,

I'm looking for a small PDA that can sync with my computer for dates and addresses, can be used with a foldable keypad, can be used outside, has good battery life, is rugged and may be velcroed to my wheelchair armrest, has word processing software - voice recognition would be nice. Does anyone have any suggestions - or have tried this - david

DW, my son has a Sony 'Clie', and it's pretty easy for him to use - doesn't have voice recognition, tho.

He also has a little digital recorder he carries with him, to make 'voice recordings' of appointments, etc., and then copy over to his daybook in the Clie.

I just upgraded from my old Palm IIIC to a Palm Tungsten C. It has record function for voice messages, but no voice to text. It is Wi-Fi compatable for use on the internet, has a very functional datebook and addressbook, e-mail, photo storage capacity, ability to download Word documents, and also has memory chips for downloading entire books. With an adaptor, I can put my PowerPoint presentations on it and use just the Palm to transmit to a digital projector. I am in love!! (and I was able to get it at a significant discount on E-bay compared to the list price).

Stay away from Pocket PCs. The software is no where as stable as that for the Palm operating system.
