Have been using Mozilla but can't stop popups. Have d/led Firebird (mentioned before) looking for a good popup blocker.

Have you enabled popup blocking? I've been using mozilla for a while and haven't had any popups since switching to it.

Mozilla/Firebird is great at blocking popups. Go to the tools/options menu and make sure "block pop ups" is checked.

Mozilla is great at blocking popups (OS/2 version stops all popups, Windows version lets an occasional popup through.) You need to select "block popups" under privacy/security preferences.

I really like the Avant browser, blocks popups and has a tabbed interface for multiple windows and it's fast too. http://www.avantbrowser.com/index.html
