Trying to find the right connection so I can use a camcorder on my computer to save pictures with. Will any cord do? I have my sister's camcorder and the software but the cord got misplaced!

several are proprietary, some are male-female usb2, a bunch are male-female firewire 400.

what's the make/model of the camcorder?

It might be an s-video, but....
Yeah, take a picture of where it plugs in, and one of us will be able to tell.

Well,

I thought maybe I could find the cord but no luck yet. I have what is probably the make and model. It is a Panasonic PV-L779

Also, other writing, 26x HI Definition Zoom Lens - 300x Digital

I cannot remember the name of the software that came with it, but I can find out if it's important!

I found what I believe to be the correct cord; here is the part description I pulled off the Panasonic web site -= RS232C-3P PC CONNECTION CABLE $21.28

Also, if anyone ever needs any kind of part or manual for anything Panasonic, howbeit, phones, camcorders, vcr, ... check this link below!!!!!!!

Also, here is a link for all or most any other brand of product you may need parts for, accessories, or operating manuels: http://www.partsolver.com/search.asp?sw=panasonic+accessory&s=Looksmart&k=panasonic+accessory
