I am in the market for a new much more powerful PDA. I have an older Palm IIIC now, but it is too limited for me.

I am seriously looking at a Tungsten C right now. I want the ability to have large memory chips, wireless internet connection, and I am really interested in using it for PowerPoint presentations using Margi Presenter to Go. I don't have a laptop, and this would be a great way to take presentations to conferences, etc. where I need to present (right now I either have to get slides made or burn to CD if the conference site will provide the laptop, which is rare).

I am also interested in using it for the many available clinical database and other programs available for it as I use it all the time at work. This and the Tungsten T2 are the only PDAs I know of currently that are also HIPAA compliant with encrytation and proper security software so I can use if for case management information, etc.

I am also looking for cheaper places to purchase (list price of the Tungsten C alone is $499, the Margi Presenter to go is another $199). I have been bidding (but not successful) on E-bay. If you have any good PDA discount site, please let me know.

Anyone else have anything similar? If you have a Tungsten C, how do you like it?

Sorry I didn't hear from anyone. I went ahead and took the plunge today...bought my Tungsten C for $346.00 including shipping on EBay (after loosing out on 5 others by being out-bid at the last minute). The list price is $499, so I feel pretty comfortable with this. Will now start looking for a cheaper source for the Margi Presenter-to-go package.

Will post after I get it and have time to play with it a bit.
