I am going to redo my wood floor and was wondering if any body had a good durable finish they used.
I use Butchers Above Ultra-Durable Floor Finish. I was told that they use this on gym floors around here. I have been using it for over 8 years. Between my chair rolling and two large dogs running on the floors this keeps them looking good. It is very easy to use and will last a long time before you think you should reapply. You can Google it for more information.

The contractors that refinished my hardwood floors 6 years ago used Lenmar polyurethane wood finish. It has withstood the elements: wheelchair, 80 lb dog, and 3 kids very well. Nice thing about using a polyurethane finish is it can be touched up. If an area on the floor becomes dull it can be scuffed with steel wool and the polyurethane reapplied (so I have been told).

I don't have a specific product recommendation, but we did are hardwood a few years ago. We had the choice of a gloss or matte finish. We went with matte. In hindsite I wish we went glossy. Looks better IMO.
