Hi

Can anyone tell if they know of Neurosurgeons in the north east that would specialize in cord tethering. I had a operation that involved untethering of my cord this pasr February. I am unable to return to Miami Florida and would like to find a surgeon within driving distance of upstate NY.
Anyone with knowledge of Neurosureons that do the untethering operation could you please let me know. I find the best source is others that have gone through it themselves. Also looking for info from anyone that had the procedure done and if they needed any further surgeries or had complications? I have had loss of sensation, increased tone/spasams, overall weakness and more pain. I was told a few months ago the MRI showed the cord retethering in the front of the cord so I am really not sure of the percentage of times people need additional surgery?
Any info would be great.

Thanks

Mark,
You need a lot more than, 'being told'. Your MRI transcription & films or CD must be in your possession. Please obtain these before any referral you get. Best Wishes.
