Some of you may be wondering how I manage to find articles and information. I use a program called Endnote (http://www.endnote.com). This is what I recommend to my students and colleagues. It is a database program that can search and download references and abstracts from all the major libraries around the world over internet. Most important of all, it searches PubMed which is the service provided by the National Library of Medicine at NIH, containing virtually all the peer-reviewed journals published since 1960. It also searches the Library of Congress which contains most of the major medical books published in English and many other languages. Finally, it searches all the major libraries who have their collections online.

Endnotes downloads abstracts and references into a very fast searchable database on your computer. For example, I just found and downloaded all 364 references published in 2003 that contain the words "spinal cord injury". I just printed out all these preferences into a pdf file. It is attached. I did all of this in less than 5 minutes on my computer.

By the way, there are versions for both Windows and Mac.
