Over at SourceForge (http://misterhouse.sourceforge.net) (Open Source Software community) there is a new piece of sofware called MisterHouse. This software allows automation of different devices via X10 modules. It can be controlled via voice, devices can be scheduled to do things at specified times, and you can even control your house via the web!

It sounds like fun. Now I need some X10 modules. http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif

If you run into any X10 problems - which you probably will - drop me a line or post here because chances are I have run into them already!

http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif I believe it is worth it in the end though

I use X-10 light switches, recepticals and a thermostat in my house that are all automated on a touch screen (http://www.smarthome.com/1275.html) located next to my bed. I also use http://www.homeseer.com/ automation software as well which can be controlled by any web browser via the internet.
