I have been attempting to get into the chatroom for some time now but am unable to do so. It takes me to the part where I am supposed to wait for the applet to appear. It never goes any further than that. I also get a "Done but with errors on page". Can anyone tell me why this might be happening?

Hello Raven,
I know that you are computer " savvy" and I was wondering if this problem has been resolved. If not, then you need to contact Jeff. I just entered the chat room without any problems.

do you have an option to click ignore, when your error message appears? That worked for me...

Thanks PN and K for your help. The problem is that it takes me all the way to the page where it is supposed to show the applet on it but no applet appears at all. The bottom of that page has the message "Done with errors on page", the rest of the page looks fine even to have the link of the smilies but that's all I get to see. It says that the applet will appear in about a min but it never does. http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/confused.gif

raven, I seem to be having the same problem but I think that the program is getting stuck on downloading of the emoticons. For example, whenever I try to get into the chat room, it seems to be interminably downloading all these emoticons and it gets stuck on emoticon02.gif. Let me ask Jeff if he knows what is going on. Wise.

I would suggest that you send me an email and we can arrange a time to talk in your chat room. I also have Yahoo Instant Messenger as well as MSN Instant Messenger and if you have a high-speed connection along with a headset or microphone, we can talk online.
