In addition to making free long distance calls within the continental US, you can now call Canada for free through Google Voice. We offered this feature in GrandCentral previously, and in an effort to provide as many useful features as we can for free, we're happy to bring those free calls to Canada to Google Voice users as well. Not that I ever talk to anyone in Canada, but this is cool for those who have it. :)

Google Voice is great for free phone, it has saved me quite a bit. Yahoo is stopping free services such as Geocities while Google keeps expanding.

FREE calling in the US, and now Canada. This has to be putting the backs of the phone companies up against the wall!

google voice is great. does anyone know what they mean when you are signing up and they ask you to pick a name , they then search their phone number for that annex and see if they have a number that matches. i put in some really obscure names and it came back unavilable, somehow i think i was doing it wrong.
i already have a grnd central number that is google voice now, but i would like to get a number that was easy to remeber anbd give out .
i just bought a nokia phone, i am tired of the cell phone companies rates, i know with google voice anf another seerrvice like gizmo, you cam make a lot more free calls.
