I been diagnosed with type II diabetes and now have yeast infection. Anyone have to deal with SCI and diabetes also. Please help, this has really got me down and need some info and encouraging words.

I have type 2 diabetes as well. It is just one of those things that needs a certain amount of looking after. Yeast infections are more common because everything loves a high sugar....yeast, bacteria, and so on. I have treated yeast infections in the past with regular over the counter stuff that works in three days. It is important to keep as dry as possible. Don't use talc as it can block pores, but a light cornstarch powder or even medicated Caldescene can help keep your skin from the damps. I was diagnosed with diabetes in 2003 and so far have had no real problems, thank heavens.

Thanks Eileen for the reply. Can you tell me did you go to a nutitionist to learn what to eat and so on. This is all so overwhelming to me.
