I have a para friend in Seattle who has a sore which may require flap surgery. Does anyone have any Dr. recommendations or personal experiences they would be willing to share about Flap Doc's in the Washington? His family would rather he not have to travel out of state.

Contact the SCI Rehabilitation Center at the University of WA for a recommendation. It is helpful to find out who they use. You can also call the SCI clinic at the VA in Seattle. Often VA specialist physicians also see non-veteran patients, often in their academic appointment jobs. Even if they don't they may be able to refer you to a reputable and skilled colleague.

Thanks for the advice KLD - I was hoping for actual case experience from an end user - not kudos from an associate.

You might want to talk to local PVA or NSCIA members who have some experience in the area where you live.
Frankly, I always ask health care professionals who THEY would go to (or send a family member to) who has the same problem I am interested in. You get some good recommendations this way.
