I don't think you can use yahoo in outlook, unless you are a premium member. If you do pay for the premium service, this should help

I switched to gmail after learning that.

Thanks. Can I make aol her default? Or remover outlook w/o unistalling the other Microsoft stuff (Word, Powerpoint etc)
In Windows XP (I assume other windows versions would be similar) you can select....
START
Control Panel
Internet Options
Then on the 'Program' tab you should find a dropdown box for the default email program to be used.

Oops. I went back and read again the original post. The method I described I don't think will work if you are trying to use a web based email. Sorry.

ohhh....ok.

Found this on the WEB...
first download Yahoo messenger and install it.(you have to have it in
order for Yahoo mail to be an option) Restart IE...and then...go to
*tools*...
*internet options*... *programs*...*email* and then you should see Yahoo
email there. Change it to Yahoo, hit apply and Yahoo should become your
default email.

You can uninstall Outlook without uninstalling the other programs. It's an option when you go to uninstall any of the Microsoft office programs. I believe there's a way to set default programs for certain things in the control panel, somewhere where you can change default programs to do certain things.
