can previously installed/registered software be used

I should know this but . . . Anthony purchased, installed, and registered a software program to make music. Well he doesn't like it. He uninstalled it. We have the disc with serial number, box and manual. A person on Ebay is interested in buying it. But wants to know if it is already registered to Ant would it effect him in any way when he goes to install it? I don't think so but I don't think he would be able to re-register it but that is not a big deal right? Sonar Home Studio/XL v. 7
