View Full Version : Good Bluetooth headset?
What's a good Bluetooth phone headset to buy? I had one of the original Motorola ones for the past four years that worked great and stayed on my ear well, but unfortunately it finally died. A month ago I bought a more expensive Samsung one that said it was supposed to do a great job of noise canceling by giving me all this "dual microphone" crap and it turned out to do a terrible job of separating my voice from the noise around me. Everyone I talk to wants me to get a new headset. Everyone already thinks that I'm talking to myself, I don't need them to think I'm screaming at myself also!

I just got a new one I love---DO not get the jawbone -I had that one before-it reduces outside noise..BUT you need to have it always touching your jaw surface! Drove me crazy as when you lay down in bed..it will move and no one can hear you..
I now have "Blue Ant" and I love it! Best one yet!

I use a Plantronics Voyager Pro (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9264869&type=product&id=1218071607542). It's not cheap, but it works great :)

I'm in the market and doing research. I'm not sure if the Blue Ant would be good for someone with no hand function. The problem is no ear loop. Do you find it stays in place despite being just an earbud?

Sennheiser BW900 Bluetooth Wireless Headset
This is the ultimate bluetooth system. It can go from you home/office phone to your cell phone and you don't have to have two systems it can be paired to a number of systems at one time so if your cell phone rings you can answer it and if your home phone rings you can answer it. And if you want to leave you house you can just go since it is already paired to you cell phone. You can also get an extra battery that you can charge on the charging base and just switch out of the head set so you are never with out the ear piece because you can always have a spare battery. The only problem is that it is expensive.
Here is a Youtube link:

And here is a link that shows all of the accessories but they are expensive on the base unit:

I have never actually used one but it has to be good for the price.

I have used the BlueAnt V1 and it worked good their was just a few things that I did not like about it.
To use the voice commands on the phone you had to say "phone commands" and the phone would start to talk before you could hear it.
The ear piece (that goes over the ear) was great but after a while it would come loose from the rubber piece that it slid through.
The foam that goes inside of your ear worked great and made it sound great, but when you needed to reorder them, they were expensive and they were not available.
If you can get past these few things the headset is great. The model under this one I think may work better, but I am not sure.
Let me know if you had any of the same problems with yours?
