You want a stationary shower chair with a roll-in shower? It would be much more functional to have a rolling shower/commode chair that you could transfer to at bedside, roll over the toilet for bowel care, and then roll into the shower to bathe. Is that not possible for some reason?

Here is one site that has some decent shower commode chairs:

I would also recommend that you look at these:

If you plan to do any traveling, you might want to invest in one of these:

i have to other brothers that use the shower too and the roll in shower chairs take up to much space. I like something that solid and stationary so i could just roll in ,in my chair transfer onto a bench, put the towels on my chair and shut the curtain.

I have a cushioned tub bench in my roll in shower. It has the commode seat which I like cuz its easier to clean ur butt good! My parent have a cushioned bench that folds down in the roll in shower at their house. I like the tub bench better I just feel safer on it.

I agree that the shower chairs on wheels take up too much room. I think those are more for people that transfers are hard or that need help.

But the rolling chair you can take out, how can anybody else shower with the stasjonary. My small one take the chair out when he showers and puts it in again after.

At my parents house it folds down from the wall so it doesnt take up any room at all for someone else. In my shower at my house I'm the only one that uses it, but since its a tub bench it can be moved. Guests just use my spare bathroom so they don't have to mess with my stuff :)

You shower on your toilet?? Wow. Didn't think it would be okay to get the toilet all wet.

I`ve got a curtain when i had the shower, but here the weather it`s ok and dry quickily and i be careful for don`t put much water in the wals, only the toiltet and the floor, but you can see in the second pic that there is a hall for the water.

The shower in the hospital it was similar, so i put mine the same.

It is not usual to have more than one bathroom here in the houses or appartments so I forgot that Americans often have more than one :)

I use the Invacare model 9670. It is a solid lightweight shower chair. Approx. 30" wide, plenty of room to transfer on and feel safe while doing so. If someone wants to take a shower they just take the ench out. I think they run around 125.oo.

You are a T/6 so there is not reason to use some faunky commode chair to do your business and take a shower. I trust you are completly independent by now. Patrick

ya i am independent.
the shower is pretty big so theres room for a bench still not affecting my brothers when they take a shower. We have some people coming now to help us see what we can do.

thank you for all the suggestions

When we travel, and have a smaller bathroom than at home, but still with a roll-in shower, we just roll the rolling shower commode chair over the toilet when I am showering, and otherwise store it in the shower stall. Works just fine, is available when my mother needs it, and is never in the way.
