I have seen this movie so many times that I have lost count. Love Al Pacino's acting and in this movie I found his dancing to be be superb. The part where he is going to commit suicide touched me so close to my heart. Made me think how many times when we meet any serious health issue or dis, we wish to die. To tell you the truth, he made my eyes tears in that part.

If you saw it, what did you think of it?

Also, while looking at videos in you tube, I wanted to see some tango dancers since I love Tango music/dancing and wish I could have gotten the opportunity to dance it. In that search I found this video.

Great movie. I read somewhere that Pacino was so in character that in the scene where he crosses the street and falls, the fall was real.

That's one of my favorite movies. Believe it or not, he's a horrible tango dancer. That scene was filmed with people yelling out the steps for him and the music was edited in later. They don't show his feet that much because he kept stepping on Gabrielle Anwars.

Great movie. I read somewhere that Pacino was so in character that in the scene where he crosses the street and falls, the fall was real.

I thought he did a great portrayal of a blind person also. He is a great actor. There are so many other movies he has been in and Nick and I have loved all of them.

JAYCUE, I wouldn't doubt that. From what I have seen in the professional Tango dancers and their videos, it seems to be very hard to learn to dance it in a few days. I didn't know that they had edited a lot of that part though. Poor Gabrielle.

Not trying to change topic, but when I was searching for Tango Dancing on you tube, I found several professional dancers' videos. My reaction to them? WOW!

Back to topic. :)

Al Pacino is one of my favorite actors and that film is beautiful. I cry everytime I see the tango scene. I wanted so much to learn tango but everybody denied to teach me because I had such bad balance when I was walking.

I really miss dancing, the last time I danced was a catastrophie, it was long after I got my chair, and now it is too late.

Combines the big two disability stereotypes: life with a disability isn't worth living, and disabled person as super-crip.
