I get a lot of stiffness, all over especially at night. I was wondering if any one has heard of Thaitian Noni Juice . Its supposed to be good to relieve stiffness and pain, but when I read up about it, there seems to be a bit of controversy about it, and its effectiveness. Its meant to be a natural product.I was wondering if any one has tried it or has any advice on this product.

Hi Muriel,

I've never used it but it's in the Nutrition Store I go to.
I'm one of those that believe in alternative medicine.
So let us know if it helps.
I get real stiff also.
I do rom right before I go to sleep & in the morning before I get in my wc.
That helps me alot! Hope it works for you. :)

Muriel - how much stretching do you do daily? I am utterly undisciplined about stretching in my otherwise Type A disciplined life - We all could benefit from good old stretching - like when watching TV. I do get chastised around the house for "public stretching".
I would be my AFO that Noni Juice would not work on me. Good luck to you - what's the weather like in Ireland now?

Hi arndog, yea I do lots of strtching, but at night its like as if I seize up, especially in my shoulders, through to my arns right up to my finger tips. The pain wakes me up at night and then I have to loosen out and by the time that happens I am too awake to go back to sleep. My legs then always feel terrible. Today we had a rare sunny day about 13 degrees but the forecast for the week is to get cold again with rain...hopefully they will get it wrong.

Hi Mpna, If your in your health store would you ask them about it there. I have not seen it in any here, and the stuff I was given is bought off the web, and apparently what I have read on this brand its sold through pyramid selling, and is a watered down version and not 100 per cent pure and could have side effects. My friend finds it good but she only has normal AB stiffness and I am wary of taking stuff when I am on other drugs..neurontin and oxycontin. Thanks for yout Help.

Sure Muriel. Ask them if it's good for stiffness? if there's any side effects?
Is that what you want me to ask? :)

I walk unaided and my daily ROM has kept me going if I did not stick to this schedule I would not be so good in my walking. I think you will see a big difference in working out but it may be worth a shot to see if it helps.

Muriel he said he has not heard of noni helping stiffness.
It is mainly used for lowering blood pressure, normalizing the body, and more.
But not for stiffness.
He said stiffness is usually caused because of inflammation in the body.
He usually suggest tumeric oil & others.
But you really need to find out what's causing the inflammation.
One thing that might be is too much acid in the body, or what you eat, exercise, etc.. Lots of different reason.
Try googling anti inflammatory supplements and see what comes up.
Or tumeric oil helps?
Good luck feeling better.

y/w Muriel my pca is up on all the different supplements.
Her son is on the swim team & has lots of aching in his shoulders.
He was taking curcumin with tumeric which he thought was great.
But he didn't have the money.
So she bought empty capsules & put tumeric (spice) in them.
He loved it too. He said it worked great on his shoulders.
Just a cheap idea.
