View Full Version : quartet aoi ecu
i just got one off ebay. good shape. it needs to be real close to my mouth to recognize commands. when turn-q turns me i'm not close enough to mic for it to work. i saw posts saying it was too sensitive. this one is not sensitive enough. any suggestions?
thanks

We don't use the voice recognition one much (more the mouth or tongue switch) but for these if the person has a turning mattress we mount the control on a molded Kydex chest piece so it moves with the person. Can your input mic we adapted like this too?

Here is the Quartet website. You can check out their accessories and also contact them about modifications that are possible. They can have a technician come to your home, or work with an OT that you work with already:

A good OT can make a chest mounted yoke to hold any switches close to your mouth and keep them there as you turn with a turning mattress. Many are also used when up in a wheelchair. Nearly always custom made from Kydex or similar heat-molded light weight plastic.

is the chest yoke something i could make. can the ability switches be bought elsewhere.
